· Primary individual responsible for daily administration of multiple servers running NT for large healthcare firm. Intricate duties include configuring and installing servers, user rights, debugging protocol, overseeing system-wide software installation and assisting end-users via telephone and site visits.
· Supported all NT Servers on the entire network. Researched and documented Compaq Remote insight lights out board (RILOE). Implemented the use of the RILOE board on all remote servers to have complete access to servers in the field. This reduced our cost of travel to site and provided us access via VPN or dialup if needed.
· Developed documentation for troubleshooting issues and concerns. Created tip sheets for my help desk. Trained users to use HEAT. Created documentation to access information through the corporate intranet.
· Created a development plan for the backup of our existing network Researched and developed a backup efficiency plan for the organization. Implemented an IBM enterprise solution using Tivoli Storage Management. Backup all data on a regularly schedule and checked to ensure all data was being backed up properly. Tested backup and restored periodically to ensure procedure was functioning.
· Rollout of McAfee Epolicy Orchestrator for the enterprise virus defense. Rollout was to 8000 nodes on the network. Developed a script for all windows 9.x machines to install the EPO agent. Reduced the time users would have to spend updating or setting each machine for the latest dat files. Created a route to reduce the traffic for the rollout and each machine was updated automatically to prevent virus outbreaks once it was entirely rolled out.
· Created workflow process for the implementation of McAfee Epolicy Orchestrator. Analyzed and staged all strategy to implement McAfee Epolicy Orchestrator throughout the entire network.
· Designed and developed Windows 2000 business plan for present employer. Implementing a parallel network to rollout Windows 2000 completely to support our 11,000 nodes throughout the company.
· Supported all users on the LAN and WAN. A total of 11,000 users access the network.
· Administrated all user and security rights throughout the entire network. Utilized policy edit and created group to set policies using NT 4.0. GPO to be used for the Windows 2000 network.
· Developed database-tracking system to estimate longevity and complexity of software/hardware problem resolutions.
· Implemented Compaq Insight Manager to monitor Compaq servers on the network. Integrated SQL server 2000 into Insight Manager.
· Currently creating a deployment to rollout Citrix on a specified group of desktops. This complex configuration and implementation requires creation of a certificate server, NFuse server and two Citrix servers. Citrix NFuse is being tested in the lab at the present moment. Utilization of this application is currently being used and tested by our staff
